Writing instruction

It was easy to find the ingredients from my friend. I had to remember what order we did things in. Instructions help us make delicious things again.

I knew that half of 18 was 9. So I shared 9 to the boy and 9 to the girl.

Comparisons

We read a big book of the Gingerbread man and a little book. They were re-written by different people and had some things that were the same and some that were different. I found it tricky to think of things and making connections is hard

Connections

I find it easy to make connections to my life but not to other books. I will practise making connections to other books and to real life.

Capital letters and full stops

We are learning to use capital letters and full stops in the write place all the way through my writing.
I found it easy to remember because I was typing. Drawing is harder. It's harder with the mouse. Next I will concentrate on using different types of punctuation like exclamation marks, ellipsis, apostrophes and commas.  I would like to type more next time.

I am learning about 2D and 3D shapes. I can find some 3D shapes. I found it hard finding a difference between sides and faces. I will work more on this.

I am learning to make connections. I can make connections to myself and to books. I am working hard to remember how to connect to other books. 

Writing more than one idea

I am learning to write more than one idea. I like lightning writing. I write as much as I can in 10 minutes. I used a picture to give me ideas. I find it easy to write more than one idea. My ideas match the picture.

Compound sentences

I am learning to do compound sentences. This is when you use and, but or because to join 2 sentences. I find it really tricky. I forgot. I could have used and to join my sentences. 

Fractions

My reflection: I found it tricky to know what symbol meant. It was very easy to find a half. But hard to find a quarter. 

Numbers before and after to 20

My reflection: I find it tricky to write numbers before and after in the teens. I am working on numbers from 10 to 20. They are tricky.
